You can rest easy but you’ll want to make sure that if you had an antivirus product installed it is uninstalled and reinstalled since some malware can fiddle with your AV software’s processes. If you’ve made it to this point in the chain, your computer will, most likely, be free of moderate to mild malware. You can go ahead and restart your computer. You will be instructed to restart your computer after removal, which you should, and a log will appear. I would suggest making sure what it finds is not a false-positive before you willy-nilly click to remove the suspected malware. If it finishes and finds something, it will let you know what it found when you hit the Show Results button. This could take between 30-120 minutes to complete. A window will appear that asks you what drives to scan, make sure you select, at the minimum, your C: drive and click on Scan to start the scan.

Select I accept the agreement and click Next.Download Malwarebytes from one of their trusted partner sites. It doesn’t prompt for every instance of malware found and only displays results of its findings at the end. While there is an “active” portion of the software - see their paid “PRO” version - their non-active scanner is free for non-commercial use, which is what we’re using it for. Malwarebytes is what they call an “after-thought” malware scanner. As mentioned in those previous posts, the reason we do these steps is to reduce the likelihood that a piece of malware is running when we boot our computer, it isn’t possibly running even in Safe Mode, the malware variant TDSS is not present on the computer, and the temp directories, used by programs such as internet browsers and Java, are free of possible temp-file malware. If you haven’t already done so, I would make sure you’re in Safe Mode with Networking, have run Rkill, have ran TDSSKiller, and have removed most, if not all, temporary files using CCleaner.
